Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers
I was just thinking about this because I definitely am more of a night owl than an early bird and I know many other writers that also like to burn the midnight oil. Some say that's when they do their best work.
What are you and what's your take on that?

If I sit down and try and write during the day, it is a real struggle and often I end up rewriting it all later that night anyway! I definitely do my best work in the wee hours of the morning. I sleep better after a good long writing session too! :-)
Former early bird now transformed into a night owl...it's now 1:32 a.m. and I'm trolling all my favorite social media sites for ways to connect.
However, when it comes to work, I need to hit my desk first thing and knock it out early. Otherwise, my head fills up with distractions and I never quite get on track. So my resistance to sleep is not helping my productivity.
Well just to buck the trend I will add my penny's worth.
I am lucky enough to write when I want to, no matter the time of day, most of the time. Partly because I run my own company and that takes a lot of my time so I am limited in how much of the day I can devout to the writing. I am writing now and its lunch time here in Scotland. Once I am in the story to be honest the actual time becomes moot, the writing world just takes all my attention. You should see how high I jump when someone invades my space. Anyway talking of writing it is time to return to the Everlasting and Fantastical Adventures in the Land of Dreams...
Good luck to all!
I wrote most of my novella, Welcome to Scranton, at night between 7 and 10 p.m. I'm generally a night person. But I did a lot of it between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. I found that my concentration in the morning was much stronger. There are fewer distractions, at least for me, in the morning.
