I hate to admit I've only recently read Salinger...need to delve a little further, as you noted when time permits:)

I was reading an interesting article about J.D. Salinger today. By some accounts he wasn't really a recluse in the true sense of the word. Neither was he very nice to women allegedly.

Cricket, I found a site that has 22 short stories of his. These would be hard to find in print. "They have not been reprinted officially since their original publication." That's what the site says. All except one is from the 1940s.

Sad to hear, I really only read 'Catcher in the Rye' and that was so long ago I can't remember it too well.

Wow..Really? To say the truth, i only red the catcher and the rye, to find out what that manaic was thinkin when killed john lennon. stil I wonder.

I read Catcher as well, it's a solid perspective on life that I can relate to, but it wasn't that good a book.
