Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers

I think this is an appropriate time for me to once again “update” you concerning such matters
as are now, and have recently been developing in “the city.” John, Rashon, and myself continue our
efforts to complete our artistic enclave’s second book “The Students Of The Highway.” And it really
surprises me - no, astounds me actually, how much effort needs to be put into a literary effort which
initially had been thought of as unstructured. Still, now I can truthfully tell you what that book shall
contain. Amber and Renni have been separated from their lovers i.e. my co-authors Rashon and John.
But I can’t tell you why just now. And I also can’t tell you what’s become of those women.
But Lauren has returned to our city. She needed to “take care” of her dad’s funeral. And
Charles Platt (Corzer) has returned from Paris – some months ago actually. And I’m glad to tell you it
appears his courting of Valerie Danns and her friends and relatives is over – but again, I can’t tell you
how those matters ended. It will be left to Charles and Valerie to decide if they wish their “story”
made public.
Meanwhile, I can tell you that the poetry which had initially been planned for inclusion in the
“students” book has been cancelled. And that’s due to a number of occurrences which I feel should
instead be documented in “The Students Of The Highway.” And those events have taken place in this
city recently, and yes they include the Pierce Gates episodes which, though made public earlier, may
nevertheless reappear in “The Students Of The Highway.”
And, I believe I’m telling you the truth when I say that soon a series of basically philosophical
“pieces” shall begin to be posted at this site. And those then shall hopefully one day be collected
together to form a potential book to possibly be entitled “The Clarity Zones.” Rest assured however,
such a book is far in the future, and as I said, its possible chapters may actually be first released as
internet postings.
In closing, let me tell you I was successful once again in securing another visit to our city (the
third time he’s been here now) by the gentleman whom we in our enclave of artists refer to as “the
man from the green city”. And I invited him to contribute one or two chapter to “The Students Of The
Highway”. And I think he will. I know he’d like to speak to you about Corzer and Valerie at least. He
got to meet both of them. Valerie had come here from Paris for reasons I again can’t disclose at this
time. But I can tell you what the man from the green city told me in private after he’d met with
Charles and Valerie. “Gosh,” he said, “I don’t think I’ve ever known two people so right for one
another! And I know I’ve never met anyone or anyones (if there is such a word) who’ve left such a
positive impression upon me as those two have.”
But then he said he didn’t know if he’d actually contribute to the “Students” book or not. He
said that without his contributions the book might still be lengthy enough; and then he cited the
following, all proposed for the “Students” book: the various philosophical chapters, the chapters
which would document various excursions undertaken by John and Rashon, and the other “stories”
which would simply disclose certain recent developments within the city. But he did leave me a poem
which he said I might post here before “The Clarity Zones” pieces begin. So I’ll do that, and you can
expect his poem in about two or three weeks. But until then this is good-bye from “Uncle Ralphie” –
that’s what Corzer’s French girlfriend Valerie likes to call me. God! She’s a doll!
