J. K. Rowling, Stephanie Meyer, Gail Carson Levine, or Cornelia Funke. If I could only pick one of them, it'd be a hard choice, but I'd say Gail Carson Levine. You guys should really read her books. Hey, I just realized that all the authors I chose are girls. Now that I think about it, I've never read a book by a male author. I mean, I've heard of them. C. S. Lewis for exmple.

Jane Austen! My word Jane Austen! lol... Francis Itani perhaps or J.K Rowling - I don't even know what I would ask... I think it would be enough just to sit in the presence of people with such amazing imaginations!

Stephen King, Wayne Dyer, Oscar Wilde and H.G. Wells. I'd like to find out if Wilde was as quick witted as history claims and if H.G. Wells ever imagined that The War of The Worlds would create the panic it did.

He could have been a poster child for ascerbic wit and loved attention. When he wasn't putting someone down, he was singing his own praises although often tongue in cheek. He once said ""I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying." Ha! He delighted in ruffling the feathers of polite society.

Paulo Coelho. I haven't heard his name in a long time! Have you read all his books, Rowen? I've read a couple and enjoyed them. I heard that Veronika Decides to Die is being made into a movie. Great, if short, book.

Not all of his books! But i got so caught up on him. In a week, i read three of his books! Veronika decides to die...i started that one, but never finished it. He has other awesome books! Definitely talented!

If I could have lunch and conversation with an author it would definitely be with Margaret Mitchell (Gone with the Wind), and L. Frank Baum (Wizard of Oz series). I have to say these books, which I have read over and over again were the main reasons I have always wanted to write. From the first word of these incredible literary masterpieces, it was like opening the door and walking into Tara, I was Scarlet, I was dorothy running from Ms. Gultch with toto. I would love to know what triggered them to begin these works of art. Did they have a dream and run with the ball, read a story that inspired them What were they thinking as they wrote, how did they feel when they were published, etc. I know you can read interviews with them answering all the questions above but I want to hear them first hand. Lastly I would give each my stories and ask for their feedback. Wouldn't that be amazing, having your writing read by Mitchell and Baum!

Here here! I can't believe I forgot to put Margret Mitchell in my list! I haven't read the book yet, but I've seen the movie, and I'm DYING to read the book!! And you know, Wizard of Oz isn't the only book. There's like seven others, but I don't remember the names. Anyway, it's actually the Oz series. It's the only thing they all have in common! LOL!

I forgot someone! I'd like to meet Lemony Snicket! I love his books! I'm still trying to get ahold of the last book though, so I've only finished 1-12.
