Well now that Humanity mastered the art of technology, of course they're going to go to great limits to create ridiculous items that have no real purpose, just to be like "Ha! We have this, don't try and attack us now... you blasted Aliens!?"
But to be honest, I'm okay with it, as long as the Terminator Movies don't become reality I'm fine. I'd rather not be killed by my Computer.
Whether we like it or not, we can't halt technological progress. It's going to happen whether we embrace it or despise it. I hate the way some people are incapable of eating a meal in a restaurant without having their phone on or texting! It's so ill mannered.

Oh my god, yeah! My friend is ALWAYS texting or watching tv. Whenever I want to go outside to do something, she's always like, "Wait, my show's almost finished." I remember when we were little we used to always be outside exploring and using our imagination. I remember once when they knocked down my neighbors house, there was a giant pile of dirt and rocks and we'd always be out there trying to climb it and pretending that it was a mountain. We had so much fun but now she has a phone and her own computer and tv. I'm not saying that I don't watch tv and all, but I'd much rather be reading or out in the woods going on a nature trek.
I would too Julie Ann. Give me fresh air over TV anytime. I don't understand the obsession with shows. We haven't had cable for a long time because it was a waste of money. We just didn't watch it. We pulled the plug on it about four or five years ago and I can honestly say I didn't miss it. I'm online a lot and keep up with news that way. I did recently find Hulu and can see myself getting into programs a bit now. I'll never be one that turns on shows and vegetates in front of the TV for 12 hours.

That was a cryptic comment if ever I heard one, Betty. Please explain what you mean there. Everything okay?
(P.S. I would rather not spend all my time on Facebook, Twitter and the rest. I like to talk to real people in real life more. I do realize it's the way of the world now though and I need to just make the best of it.)
