Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers
Romance literature is my love - no pun intended. I've been an avid reader for as long as I can remember and have been writing for several years. As a secondary and collegiate English teacher, I appreciate almost any type of writing, but this genre is my favorite, and I'm honored to have the opportunity to contribute to it.
I have been an English teacher since 1995 and cannot imagine myself doing anything else -- unless, of course, it's writing novels all day.
I spent the first 33 years of my life in Arizona, but recently made a leap of faith as my husband, daughters, and I packed up everything and left our family and friends behind to move to northwestern Kentucky. We have certainly been blessed in that decision as we have found a new and loving community in which to raise our two beautiful girls.
Another leap of faith encouraged me to begin my own editing business www.editedwrite.com where I am able to put my years of proofreading and editing experience in the classroom into a new and profitable environment.
While teaching is my career, I certainly enjoy writing in every spare moment I can find. And I hope you enjoy reading what I have written. See my Blog: Cindy's Books or website http://cindytroy.com

Good luck with your new adventure, Cindy! I lived close to the Kentucky border in TN for many years. Couldn't have met a nicer bunch of folks there. Please do share your proofreading and editing expertise with our members. I know I would love to see something on common mistakes for example. We allow reasonable self-promotion on the understanding that members do help others here in our community. Hope the girls are settling in nicely too! Welcome aboard. :)
Kay, Thank you for the warm welcome. I'm excited to be a part of this forum and excited to be writing again. As an English teacher and business editor, some days I feel like all I do is proofread. I find myself automatically scanning everything I come across for errors. But I'm always glad to help anyone who needs a second eye to look something over. We've settled in wonderfully here. It is a beautiful and friendly part of the country. We wouldn't trade it for the world. Thank you again, and I'm looking forward to learning more from other writers.
Hi Cindy:
Your blog is 2012, but worthy of the time taken to say hi to a new author.
Nervous is a mild word for us new authors to use when trying to express how we feel about sharing our novels with the world.
Best of success to you as an author and editor.
