First off, let me say I hate huge font, lol. I had to change it to what I write in before I could even start reading it, lol. However, I'm quite intrigued by the first page. They say the first page/paragraph is one of the most important parts of the Book; it helps readers decide if they want to finish reading it or not, but I'm sure you already knew that. =D. You've got me hooked.
I have to agree with Mark Santomieri, with what he said in Kay's "Who Inspires You" thread about some editing. There's a few words here and there like now and know that you've used the wrong one as well as using the wrong course, but I haven't seen anything else. I'm very curious though if they're actually Vampires or not. I can also relate to Casandra in the sense that she believes in these mythical creatures, but at the same time believes Science Fact can prove everything.
I really like the font you used for the book Casandra reads in Chapter 8, what Font Style is it? I also like the names you've given the flowers.
Seriously! You ended it like that!? God I hate cliff hangers! Good work though; I really enjoyed it. Got me thinking about what I want to do in my next Vampire-ish novel.
Also, I wrote this while I was reading it, so if excuse the random order I put things in.
I didn't actually choose a font. I could never remember which font I used, so I just used the slanted thing beside underline and bold print. Haha! I don't know where the flower names came from. They just popped into my head. Cassandra is actually one of my friends. So is Kendra. When I told them they'd be in the book, they faught over which one would be the vampire! Haha! I just made Jacob's name up though. I know I need some editing, but hey. You gotta admit, it's great for a twelve-year-old!

That it is. Looking forward to reading what you do next. =D
And really? It looked so much cooler than just this, lol.

Hey, Jasmine!
There is no such thing as a storyline that goes off track. There is only a writer who goes off track. If you keep writing, you will find that such seemingly daunting things as plot and character development tend to create themselves.
I am not being facetious here, either. When your imaginary folks start actually talking to you and telling you how to drive the ship, you will suddenly find yourself having become a true writer of fiction. At least that seems to me the way it works.
When I finished my first story, my characters were the ones that said "Back off! We're done with you now, you silly writer guy."
I wish you the best of luck.
M.
Callie, can you teach me how to put the document in your post?
That's fantastic, Callie. Congratulations on accomplishing that. :)
Do you have a graphics program you can use to make your cover? There's a program called Gimp you can use to make a 3D Ebook cover if that's the kind of thing you're thinking on. It's free to download. I tried Gimp before and thought it was a little complicated. You're a lot younger than me so you'll probably do a better job grasping it. :)
I've added a video that gives instructions how to make it.
I'll let you know when I've read it too. I'm dying of the flu right now and have our early Thanksgiving dinner to face tomorrow. It will be a little while before I get to it but I shall. :)
CONGRATULATIONS! lol
You must be extreamly Filled with glee at the moment. lol
I felt the same way when I finished my first book.
Enjoy your extra free time to create more ideas for more novels
write til your last dying day! lol jk
