Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers

Thank you Garry for the Createspace info.  I'll look into it since I have a book ready to go to a publisher.

Does anyone know where I can get a website to sell my books myself?  PA will let me sell them anyway I want to (even to standing on a street corner and selling them with a sign and a tin cup).  I've checked into one but they want $500.00 down and $19.95 a month.  I just don't have anything to compare with them.  Any advice would help.

I know I ask a lot from all of you but, I am new at all of this and don't have a lot of options to go to.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks to all of you.

I just let Amazon and Createspace take care of that for me. They'll send you a paper check or directly deposit into your account. Which ever you prefer. I don't think they offer paypal as of yet. But probably will in the future.
You revert your rights back, you can self publish and get the authors discount way cheaper then PA charges you. Under five dollars per book. PA charges it's authors way to much for their own books. They priced one of my books at a whopping $28.95each. I sale the same book on Amazon through Createspace for just $8.99 paperback and 99cents to $2.99 for my Kindle edition now. It cost me under five dollars to purchase my own books through createspace. And I can raise or lower the price of my books when ever I so choose.
I have a website on fatcow.com.  You can design your own website and you can use paypal as a payment tool to sell your books if you want.

Obviously, the more pages your website has or will have dictates the price.

There are basic 3-5 page websites that are very reasonably priced.

I have 3 author websites with my present web-tech.

If he was over-priced I would only have 1.

Feel free to look at www.hasgodforsakenme.com

That is a very simple author website which will NOT cost you $500 for something similar and no monthly fee.
