what are the features in a book that make you gip onto it till the very latst page?

now, i`m doing a bit of a vis versa topic towards Aries`s topic, if that alright with you, Aries.

one thing that if a book has i will drool over it is when the most unexpeting things happen, like when you think you`ve got the book all figured out and then all of the sudden something amazing and unpredictable happens, unfourtunetly, i rarely find this in books.

another thing is when a book has a very sold and creaive base, one with many possiblitys and it makes sence, of course. ake the harry potter base, wizards going to an acadamy to learn magic, simple yet genius! i still feel as though J.K rowlling could have had more happen, but still a good sereis.

last but not least, is when the charecters have been carfully plotted and thought of. when you have charecters with a strong and realistic personality then they instantly become unforgetable charecters.

form your fellow author halim.

        thank you for your time.

Good question halim! I love a book that twists and turns and keeps you guessing until the very end. When it's too slow paced, I get bored. Give me action, not long descriptions about what the wallpaper looked like or the garden.

I also like my characters to be fleshed out too like you do and I want them flawed in some way, not perfect. It's more true to life. :)

I like well-rounded characters too, nothing too stereotypical. Having surprise twists is good if they make sense. I don't like it when a character that's not been mentioned in the majority of the book suddenly surfaces and everything is neatly rounded off by their presence. It's as if the writer got stuck and didn't know how to end the book so they throw in this person that makes everything work out. Sorry but if I'm reading a thriller, I like the satisfaction of figuring the bad guy out at an earlier point, or at least having that chance.

(Halim, on another note, your post is hard to read. It would be a good idea to run your post through an online spellchecker before posting, like http://spellcheck.net/speller/.)
