Hey, Its betty again! been awhile! i apologize! lol

anyhow, um I'm a Goth for those of u who dont know, all i wear, is Black leather, black boots, gothic doll dresses. and so on..  i get ridiculed, and stared at for being what i am., always get asked the same bloody questions, everytime im near people.

" Do you believe in god?"

"Do you cut yourself?"

"Are you a satanist?"

"Why do you always wear black?"

"are you Gothic?"

My most hated question is

"Are you emo?"

Emos and Goths SHOULD NOT be compared..

Why?

because Emo is just a lame teen trend, that will eventually fade away.

Goth. is life style.

I would love to know what you guys think. i get glares, stares, gawks all the freaken time.

Im use to it, because im never going to change who i am. whether they want me to or not.

so go ahead! yell out , " God loves you!" one more time. so i can give your ignorant ass, the finger! and scream something right back!

Anyway! , lol

Please tell me what you think? what are your thoughts \upon my kind of people?

WE ARE HARMLESS! ........Well, kind of. ;)

Emo is for people who don't know where to buy spikes. Moody, pathetic, and you just wanna slap them a few times until they get the message. Really bugs me when people think Goths are satanists, I did the Goth thing for a bit and listened to death metal, satanic rock and such, still do, but I'm not religious at all.

And the reason they yell "God loves you" is because they're too scared to say it to your face, meaning you're doing it right, hahaha!
lol yup yup .
excuse me but what do u mean u tried or "did the goth thing"
just woke up one morning and decided to wear black?
whatever..
not all goths listen to satanic music, actually those kind of people are called SATANIST.
so wtf. offensive much?

Yeah, I was into the goth scene for a year or two, wasn't really my thing and I quickly gave it up. I still love listening to the music and stuff though, my Pandora station is a crazy assortment of orchestra, death metal, and new age. Awesome stuff.
;) mmhmm.

I myself am Emo. But I'm not some lameass "Oh my life sucks, Let me slit my wrists and cry in a corner and blah blah blah, everyone hates me, blah blah b*******." I'm not so much as to as dark as a Goth. I have nothing against Goths. I was at one time, a Goth. But then my firends satrted ditching me and my friends were like myloife you know, I cared too much of what other people think. Emo satrted as based upon a type of music genre. Like The band Jimmy Eat World. <-- Which is a pretty gay band, just saying. I did at one time scratch my wrists with a safety pin to get attention from my friends just to start up stuff. Then they all started acting like me and i was like WTF?! I wear skinny jeans, yeah. I like the colors black and blue and purple. But that all started back in the 60's when girls started to wear guy clothes, which back then weren't called skinny jeans, just plain jeans. They were "rebels" gusy grew their hair out, and then as time progressed, people took it overboard. But some people are just roleplaying like i once was.. it was stupid.. I was stupid for trying to just start up drama. But it got better becuz i knew what i was doing was plainly stupid and wrong. I have a good life. But some people dont.. like it can go either way. No one really wants people judging them, so dont judge others.. becuz you feel bad when you get judged and embarressed.. well chances are.. they probably will too. But i have nothing agianst Goths. I fascinate them. I would like to learn more. =)

I used to be a Goth. Now, I'm just me. I wear a lot of dark grey but I still get mistaken for a Goth. It irritates me that people are so quick to label. No, I wear grey as it reflects my personality. I am a dark and broody person. But there is nothing wrong with Goth. Some Goths do go OTT with the whole "I'm a Satanist" thing when they are just doing it for image. If they truly knew what a Satanist was, they would think twice about doing it. It just isn't cool. Apart from that, some of the literature's best gems has come from or been inspired by the Goth culture.

Oh and Emo is just a watered down version of Goth.

And I can personally state, Goth is NOT a phase. Its a culture. What culture is a phase? Not many, if none.

Plus, cutting yourself is not cool. I know, I did it but I did it because I WAS depressed, not because I was like "Oh, I'm a Goth. Other Goth's do it, it's cool, so I'm going to do it because it gets me attention."

Goth music has nothing to do with Satan. Listen to Tarja, Sirenia, Anathema. Favourites of the Goth scene, no mention of true satanism.

I myself admire the hell out of them, as they live their lives as they see fit, and don't care what society may think of them. Everyone has a right to live their lives the way they choose. To dress the way they choose to, to listen to the music they enjoy. It takes great courage in this day and age, to listen to the beat of your own drummer as it were. I say if it makes you happy and content in this day and age, "Go for it!
Man dude, your such a sweetheart. Your a great amazing being indeed! lol I wish more were like you. Gothic is my lifestyle, And it will never change. ;) Ill be wearing fishnets til the day i die!

once again, Goth is a life style dam it! lol how the f*** can u  use to be goth? angers me how folks take it as a fashion sense.  f*** satanist man. thanks for stating the truth. Im sorry u cut urself man. i find that as a idiotic choice that consumes the mind. never let that thought convey u again. Trust me, I understand. My life has been a torturous phase after another. But i refuse to let lifes b******* bother me. ;) life is fascinating once in a skeptic point of view.

I always thought fishnets were sexy, they turn me on. As my wife can tell you, I was always a leg man and I love the fishnet stockings and the patterned nylons they have out for the ladies now days.

You are what you want to be.  And people see you how they feel they should see you - by how they were raised.  It is the same with people who are covered in ink.  Someone people are scared to death of them. Bikers are one that scare most people to death - but until you actually speak to someone and try to learn who they are and what they are about, you won't be able to know them. You will only be thinking in a stereotype.  There are to many people who think in stereotypes and not on a individual level.

Being writers, we can go against the stereotypes that people put on us.  We can also educate those that don't know about the different life styles that people choose. I think that is our best bet to help others be understood. I have no problem with Goths - I have no problem with bikers - it's like the skin on a person's body. I'm not going to judge any of them because they look different then me. You could be purple - and I'd probably still ask you to sit down for a cup of coffee.

Barry - your funny!!!!

I agree with you Stacy, I know a lot of bikers who spend a lot of their time helping out all types of charity's. There are good and bad in all walks of life. But because certain groups have a label placed on them, doesn't make them all bad. There's a lot of great people out there in our world today doing great things.
