Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers
This is just the beginning of the story. I'll post different parts as I write them. I need opinions about this to help me improve it in hopes that I can captivate readers. Thanks for the help! :-)
Here it is:
Thalofar the Invincible, as he is now known, was not always a legend. He started out as simple as you and I. His greatness came from his faith in the Three, particularly to Kenedor.
Many long years ago, Thalofar was actually seen as a useless sort of man. He seemed to have no particular talents and was always very plain. From his youth up he was like this. He tried so desperately to fit in that he did exactly that. For some years, the poor boy was just there, until one day he just left. Putting everything behind, he vanished into the world.Only a few know of his travels, and I am one such person, for I had the privilege of meeting him early in his travels and accompanying him.
I met him on the fourteenth of March in the year ninety-nine of the First Era, while traveling along the Via Herdo towards the grand city of Halendar. At the time I was just outside Thif, a small farming village to the west.
"Hello there, friend!" I said to this stranger as I caught up to him.
"Hi."
"You headed to Halendar?"
"Yeah"
"Me too," I laughed. "Mind a little company?"
"Help yourself."
"Thanks! Names Leeden. You?"
"Thalofar."
"Nice to meet you. Where you from?"
"Sadora."
"Wow. Way up in the Northern Forest. Long way from home, eh?"
"A little, I guess."
"Haha! Well I'm from Dovare, just north of here."
"I was there a few weeks ago. Nice little town/"
"Yeah, I reckon. I've only been to Thif a few times, but never any farther. Hey, there's Thif now!"
