Review of A Bad Day for Pretty by Sophie Littlefield

Meet Stella Hardesty, a middle aged woman with a hard road of abuse issues behind her (somewhat) and a burning desire to bring justice to all the men in life who abuse their spouses.

To sum up that opening paragraph and the crux of “A Bad Day For Pretty” you have a middle aged woman with mental health issues and a crime fighting complex acting as a vigilante for all the abused women who ask for her help.
 
Does this sound like the exciting makings for a great read? It didn’t to me either but I think we all have started a book with a preconceived notion of what we’d get only to be pleasantly surprised and so it was the case with A Bad Day For Pretty.
