Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers
When you think about being a Christian writer, what does this mean to you specifically? There are Christian publishing companies who have a vision for their company who choose what books are published based upon this answer.

Specifically, for me, it means that whatever I write in the end has to glorify the Lord, has to lift him up in someway. My book of poems that was just published, Lord, My Lord - it describes a lot of my struggles, but it also includes my personal prayers/talks with God while I struggled. And in the end, he was given all the glory for the changes brought about in me and my life. That's what being a Christian writer signifies to me.
Be blessed.

hi. For me it means I have to write about my pass, so other people can understand how I got to my present, And then to my future. Yes my first book will be REAL RAW, to grab the REAL RAW. And I know im going to get alot of feed back. But if no- one will stand ans tell ther pain and da real deal before they was SAVE. How is the world going to relate to so much happiness. Jesus brouhgt me out of the darkness. But is now time for me to go back and share some light. How good he truly is. So for my readers they will have to follow me into da second book. When I finally have a relationship with GOD.
I am a Christian. And I wrote a book because something mysterious happened with me; that none of my friends can fully understand. Because of this, I knew the Lord wanted me to accomplish something. It took me quite sometime to figure it out until finally I saw myself being an author through his guidance. I am delightful with the Lord after finishing the manuscript of my first book "The Revelation". I never dreamt to become an author. Now that I saw my passion to inspire people and to touch other people's lives spiritually, I thank the Lord for giving me such gifts. I am an engineer by profession but I love doing talks in schools to inspire students. To be a Christian writer for me therefore is to fulfill the mission God wanted you to accomplish before seeing DEATH. And that mission is your calling here on earth...

If one is a called teacher, pastor, or writer, he will be, at the very least, uneasy until he begins to pen some of the inspired revelation imparted to him by the Holy Spirit. When I begin to write, it is with Bible-studied foundation already in progress and the spirit will not let me rest until I do some of the work. It seems I am not allowed to finish (I am a doer who goes not like unfinished projects) without a renewing return to the Bible and prayer on a routine basis while writing.
I concur with your assessment that we are to pass on spiritual understanding of our own events and past. Paul said to be examples. Part of the impetus for writing, for me, is that most hearers seem more receptive if there is a commonality of experience or attitude. I must also agree with your first respondent. We should be living it. However, to share one's Christian living experience with others can be facilitated by writing about them. Is not a large part of the Bible such evidence?

Wonderful response Dr. Wade. Yes, for me, just as the writer's of the Bible were inspired by the Holy Spirit, I believe we too must be led by the Spirit of God in this hour as well. It is only the power of God that is able to transform lives, but He will use our experiences, as you said, to bridge that gap with our common experiences. God bless you as well & keep letting Him use you for His glory!
Blessings,
Deborah
