'I'm A Disappointment'
by Felisha
I’m a disappointment.
Something I already know.
Doesn’t make it hurt any less
When someone tells me so.
I’ll never be the person
I was expected to be.
Once again, I’m not like you.
I can only be me.
I’m a disappointment.
This much is certainly true.
Sadly we can’t all be graced
With being as wonderful as you.
I’m a disappointment.
So you can’t rely on me.
I wish that I could change
But it’s an impossibility.
But when you’re disappointed
Please remember where I’ve been
Some hurts can’t be removed
And noone can go home again.
