Has any anyone used Createspace (an Amazon company) to publish their work? I signed up recently, got a ISBN number and obviously can sell the books on Amazons own site.

Just wondering if it's worked for anyone?

I've published 9 books using createspace and I have enjoyed the experience. I will use them again for all of my books. You can't beat free. I am a certified professional self publishing coach and do all my own formatting, cover creation etc... so the cost for me is zero. I highly recommend them.

I published my first book with them and was very pleased. Each time that I have called, I have spoken with a nice and helpful person. I plan on publishing my second book with them.

Congrats to you! :)

I'm a tiny publisher, and as a printer, Createspace was a breeze to work with. I provided my own ISBN number and took it from there. I made many changes to the galleys and they made the alterations with no fuss. Also, they designed my cover and interior for a fee, but it wasn't outrageous. I would definitely use them again.

I just used Createspace to publish the first in a three-book post-apocalyptic series. So far I am very happy with the results.

And Tanya, the set up is totally free. They do offer extra benefits at a cost, but if you are fine with your book being available only through Createspace and Amazon.com, and if you have a cover photo or don't mind using a stock photo, then you can pretty much do it all for nothing. You only pay for the copies of your book that you want, and the prices are very reasonable. You also set the price, and the set-up wizard on thier site lets you know how much you have to charge to make a profit after they take out the production costs from the sales figures. It is foolproof and easy to use as long as you have a little bit of time.

Create space is a good publishing site.  I have four books that I published using their site.  The customer service

group is friendly and supportive.  The way in which your book appear is good.  They also have their own book

covers which is awesome.  I used some of their book covers and they look just fine.  I recommend create

space to anyone wanting to self publish their books.  This is one of the best sites to use.

I like Createspace very much, they make it so easy and less expensive to self publish your books through them, they even make your books available on Kindle format if you choose to. They are also quick to respond if you have any questions concerning the publishing process as well. Very pleased with them. They offer a free ISBN as well. And now you have the option of purchasing a proof if you want, or you can view your book on their previewer and choose to approve your book with out purchasing a physical copy. Which makes your book available immediately after giving them the Ok.
