To Anyone Out There: If I want to sell my own books on a website ... how much would a 240 page gothis romance ...(its sequel) 479 page ... and a 202 page mystery/suspense ... soft cover 5x9 sell for? I am going to start a website of my own and sell my books myself and not wait for PA to do it for me ... which would take forever and make me pay "millions" to do it. If anyone of you have any ideas, please let me know. I just don't know what to charge and PA's book prices are just too high to deal with. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello all,
I used a partnership publisher for my first novel. Mirador Publishing are based in the UK, and are a small, independent company. I contributed towards publication of my book in paperback and ebook format, and they arranged for design of artwork with my approval, they advised me in editing the manuscript, they built me a dedicated website http://www.catherine-green.co.uk, and they took care of all the essential preparations such as obtaining the ISBN and listing the book on Amazon and the national book wholesaler Gardners catalogues.
The only thing is they don't have a marketing budget, so that's largely down to me, but my editor is very helpful and always available when I need her. It depends how much work you want to do. For me I knew I wanted a paperback as well as an ebook, so I had to find a 'real' publisher. It was a much easier process, and I would say definitly worth the money (£575 GBP).
Hope this helps...
It is one of the ironies of medicine that radiation, as in x-rays, CT scans, radiation therapy and nuclear medicine can cause cancer yet can be used to detect and treat cancer. Perhaps because of this irony, most of us know very little about radiation dangers. Often we simply trust our doctors and caregivers to do what is right. In the majority of cases, this mutual trust system works well. But what happens when the system fails? A recent study suggests that 15,000 people are projected to die within the coming years from the radiation they received from x-ray procedures! How can we protect ourselves? There have been reports of patients experiencing serious radiation overdose causing reddening of the skin, hair loss, cataract formation, or burns that cannot heal. These dangers are real! Last year 3000 patients were treated for serious radiation burns at a wound care facility. The Dangers of Medical Radiation guides you through the common radiation procedures. It gives an insider account of the pitfalls: procedures to avoid if possible; how to minimize your risks; questions to ask; plus the knowledge you need to protect yourself
