As a publicist for a publishing house, I know the importance of having professional sell sheets, promos, press releases and, most importantly, a marketing plan. I understand though that the cost for such items can be daunting. Recently, I had a discussion with my mother who is a self-published author. I was appalled at what her publishing house charges her for marketing assistance. It seemed completely unfair to those authors who cannot afford such rates. I wanted to do something to help, so I created The Author's Advocate.

The Author's Advocate is a publicity company dedicated to helping self-published and/or first-time authors. I am available here on Authors.com to answer any questions you may have whether you are my client or not. I am also happy to look at any marketing pieces you may create yourself and provide you with suggestions that could help your piece shine.
