Getting to Grips with Author.com as a Newbie (Help Needed)

Hello, Please help! I write crime and thriller books and want to know some of the tips and tricks of getting my books recognised / sold... you can but dream?!

OK, still trying to get my head around how this AUTHOR.COM website works and its benefits! if anyone can summarize I would be really grateful. Thanx.

Crowd-funding A Book!
