Trestle Press Spring Submission Writing Contest & Gelati's Scoop

Hey, I am pumped about this. The reason is that I am actually mentioned part of the prize package they, Trestle Press, are offering to winning authors. We, Gelati’s Scoop The GZONE, made the video for this contest and it is on Trestle’s You Tube homepage. Here is the link for it:

Digital short Saturday Brother 'Big Daddy" Abel OPEN MIC

“Brother” Giovanni gets on the board with this one. Confused, I am sure you are. You would have to read the disclaimer, (which I wrote-wink, wink), in the beginning of Open Mic to understand how I came Brother Giovanni; I am not giving that away. This is the first time I am in a published work; I am pumped and honored. FYI: BDA, as he is known to his many fans, will be on our blogtalk show twice this month. March 8th for the roundtable discussion @ 3pm and then again by his…

A forgotten poem of mine.

EVERLASTING DEATH

      Death comes silently
as if it shall never appear at all...
      Death enters your mind
As if lurking to destroy what makes you sane.
      Death visits your conscience…

New born first couple of chapters

Prologue

Dravid looks deep into the smoke wandering how far he has left to fly to get out. He cant help but to think that this was a mistake. He was warned that this trip could in the end kill him, but he had to do this didn’t he? He owed it to the people of Aelia. Looking about him he sees nothing except smoke. Everywhere he looks there is nothing but the all consuming smoke.

Dravid has been flying for three days in this smoke infested world to get the knowledge…

Brad Taylor One Rough Man

This is a debut novel from a man who has an impressive biography; I am enclosing it with the post. Is this novel the real deal like Brad Taylor American hero is?  I am going to be nice and say it makes it some hay in a very crowded genre; read on and decide if you want to grab this thriller. Here is what is between the covers and his bio:

“They call it the Taskforce. Their existence is as essential as it is illegal. Commissioned at the highest level of the U.S. government. Protected…

The Seas of Suzy Wong

Hello out there!  I have spent the past two years collecting my memories on paper of a sailboat trip I took in 1960 with three other guys and a dog -- from Hong Kong to Miami.  Our boat was named the Suzy Wong.  She was a 41 foot yawl (27 feet on the water line) which we had built for us in Hong Kong.  The trip covered 26,000 nautical miles and was eighteen months in duration.

That was 50 years ago!  We were all still alive when we got to Miami, and we are all still kicking now.  The…

Why not have a great NEW Website for authors to have there books published and take contol of there sales.

Why not create a site where the authors can have his or her book designed, created, printed. And have there own webpage to sell there book thru. Have a PayPal and other sales accounts so they would keep 100% profits from there book. All authors would have control of the site because the site would be their's to use. You would have a flat fee for the design and formatting. You could have a printer who would have a flat fee for the printing. The cost would be a flat fee for members who belong…

Fear Not

Fear Fails

Love Prevails

God's Love Corrects, Protects, Perfects

...and restores

Perfect love casteth out all fear

And we are perfected in Him. In him who knew no sin, but became sin, so that we may become the rightousness of God through Him.Access through His righteousness, We became the righteousness of God,and because of His righteousness we became perfected. Meaning the blood that was shed at the cross of calvay covers us and

allows God to…

Diving into the Guest Blogging Pool, Part II

I hope you all enjoyed Diving into the Guest Blogging Pool, Part I and I've whetted your appetite for Part II!

Last time I talked about two of four common reasons some haven't attempted guest blogging: "I don't have the time" and "I don't know what to write about."

Now let's look at the remaining two.

"I'm scared I'll be rejected."

Aren't we all! While there are no guaranteed 100% foolproof ways to prevent rejection, you…

a pinch of darkness2

kara looked around in the acid forest and realized Falcon was gone. DAMN, she lost him, again. when he finds her, he's gonna be mad as hell. she knew he has a bad temper. she walked through the trees until she saw him sitting near the pond of Blood.

"Kara, keep up." was all he said.

what, no fit, no yelling. did their first kiss really change the way Falcon was.

she looked at him and caught his eye, noticing he was mad, just not at her.

near his foot,…

A pinch of darkness.

"Don't ever do that again, you understand me?"

Kara didn't know what to say, she felt safe with Falcon, but all she ever do when she trys to help is piss him off.

"Falcon, I'm sorry. I just want to-"

"You want to what, help me save you? Well, Kara I don't need your help, I don't need nobodies help."

She stare in his sliver eyes for a long time before she turned around and walked away from him, tears burning in her…

JESUS, THE SAVIOR OF OUR SOULS AND ECONOMY

By not celebrating Christmas would send this economy into a tail spin.  Everybody would be affected- from Taxi cab drivers to baby sitters, airlines, hotels, gas stations, etc.  I cannot think of any industry that would not be affected.  Even China would suffer. Just think if all the Christians just decided to not buy gifts, cards, or candy at Christmas.  I bet a lot of Jewish retailers would convert to Christianity.  Everybody would be once again proclaiming Merry Christmas again.  Large…
