My New Year's resolution for '09 was to finally, seriously and extensively take a look at all the social sites I kept hearing about. My Space. Face Book. Crime Space. Twitter. Blogs. No more letting the info slide by, no more shaking my head and saying, “Who's got time for all this bulls__t?” I would do an investigation, just like my sleuth Christy Bristol. I would finally find…

In 1995, a long, long time ago when Star Wars was the latest cinema rage, I started to pen my first novel called A Brownstone in Brooklyn. I wanted to write a novel and see could I actually put together a storyline that would interest readers…I wanted just one story published and see it in book form.
Well, I worked long and hard with a few disturbing…

Life of a novelist is hard work. You get to thinking...this would be a cool career, self-therapy even. Then you become, the author, the blogger, the twitter, the Facebook fan page, Authors.com, Instagram and every other social media administrator. You begin to wonder how will you every get it all done. Believe in your dreams (I tell myself). The journey is meant to grow your aspirations. PUSH. Continuous effort, not strength or intelligence is the key to unlocking our potential.…

When I wrote my novel, Curse Me Not, what I didn’t count on was how I would see myself after the writing was done.
The paranormal twist I use in in the book is one that speaks to auras and curses upon auras. The fundamental question I had to answer as I developed the story’s alternate reality was this: While we perceive our 3-D self just by looking in…

When I was a student at Bushwick High School in Brooklyn, New York, I would visit the local public library and stare at the books and plays on the bookshelves.
I daydreamed!
I read the titles of books by famous authors like F. Scott Fitzgerald ( The Great Gatsby) , William Golding (Lord of the Flies) , Zora Neale…

Walter Chandler’s legs pumped like automobile-engine pistons as he dodged the occasional newspaper stand with the owner holding out the late afternoon copy of The Philadelphia Bulletin. This was one of the obstacles Walter faced as he sprinted the length of… |

Dark Mist is the prelude to The Sandman Never Sleeps both to be released this year. Originally Dark Mist wasn't to be separate merely a flashback in the Sandman. As I discovered (as most writers do) the characters had other ideas and the flashback…

Successful twenty-first century authors have three lifestyle components: Passion, Organization, and Uniqueness.
Passion: Successful authors love their craft!
They delve into the storyline with abandon. They make time to write and know their most creative time of the day. This is different for each author.
