Sensory Deprivation

I get the premise and the rational as proposed by having oneself be suspended into that certain state of awareness or unawareness . As with TM, or even Zen, I am…

I need some advice!!! So I am hoping that I came to the right spot. I found out that my publisher was ripping me off with not paying me for all of my books sold. Now I know what everyone would say...Drop them and find another one... well I wish it were that easy. I would love to do exactly that. However, I am in the middle of finishing book 2 in my Trilogy and Book 1 was published with this publisher. My question is, do I stay with the same company or do i publish the last 2 books with…

Infanticide
This is a topic which brings up a memory of a distant college course I was in 1973. I as a zoology major and one of the required upper division/major courses was Human Ecology. The big issues for the previous early 70s years in biology and spilled out to the media was Stanford's professor Erlich’s population control book ZPG - Zero Population Growth. This title wasn't our text, but our text for the course was heavy with the same rational. One section gave a history -…

Feedback on this book has been great!
"The plot of this book is amazing! The details the author provides about each character is unbelievable; the author has the ability to make the reader feel the "vibes" that person would put off like yo
u were there. The plot is thick from the beginning and only gets thicker as the story goes on. I though I had figured it out and was way off in the end; it will definitely keep you…

What is your connection to the Amish?
I live ½ hour away from Smicksburg, PA, a large Old Order Amish settlement. I shop at their stores and we hired Amish men to help remodel our century old farmhouse. It’s been fifteen years of remodeling, (still not done…) so we got to know many men and their families. On their breaks, they love to talk and swap stories, and I always have 1001 questions, ranging from “Do you grow celery for weddings?”(They had no idea what I was talking…

I know it seems as if I’m changing my blog schedule weekly. What I list as topics for the next week’s blog doesn’t always appear. I’ve delayed some things or postponed topics because of mitigating circumstances. My topics get pushed aside for author interviews because I want to do my part to promote others.
Part of the problem has been I’ve been…

Yes, it's finally come to fruition. I've penned my first full novel and it's up on Amazon. It was quite a time-consuming, sometimes frustrating journey. I hope many people enjoy my work as I enjoy writing. I'm already planning a follow-up. The link to my novel is below.
Warning: Written for adult audiences.

Anyone with half a brain can see that the U.S. economy is in a malaise. It’s just muddling along. Unemployment is still high. Economic growth is low. Prices are rising for goods and services (just think gas prices and food prices). Job creation is low (people you know that have been unemployed are still unemployed). Small businesses are still struggling to survive given decreased demand and tight credit. The real estate market is in the tank; house prices are still falling…

The massive federal budget deficits of the last several years have resulted in an unprecedented increase in our national debt. Since President Obama came to office, the national debt has soared from $10 trillion to nearly $16 trillion, a 50% increase. This uncontrolled federal spending and the accompanying increase in the level of national debt cannot continue. Otherwise we will find ourselves in the same situation as Greece,…
