Stephen King wrote: "Writing is reading and reading is writing." I believe this and when I have the opportunity, I read as much as I can from a variety of genres. Fever: Little Willie John is an excellent biography about one of the least known soul music legends. Sometimes I…

In the last 2 years, I've got together with friends who are entertainers here in Las Vegas. I am looking for the right group of funny people to develop skits for impersonators. This will be filmed professionally and marketed for Hollywood. This would be in credit writing only, until we can procure the budget. Looking to do 4 10-15 minutes skits, set concepts, actors and production and distribution is almost acquired. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks

Hello fellow writers, I am writing a near futuristic novel in the genre of "Atlas Shrugged", Title: Secession- Rebirth of a Republic and am looking for a co-author to work with me to finish. We would be co-owners of the copyright and share revenues and expenses 50/50. I will consider other approaches. I have written and self-published two other books, the second of which is doing pretty…

So I'm in the transporter to pick up this week's featured author. He enters and suddenly the entire machine goes haywire. When we step out, we're on a strange island with a table set up for two, strange colored drinks waiting and the entire world has changed. I smack the side of the console, the dials spin, and then report that we're sitting…

I learned a few things about being a successful author after writing five novels, including a gold medal winner. Nine years of coaching hopeful writers in Evening at Emory University’s Creative writing studio convinced me that budding scribes often make unnecessary mistakes—the same mistakes.
So I thought, “why not flatten the writing curve for writers who have…

Remember when the day ended with a bedtime story?
I remember my mother reading a picture book I already knew by heart. When he was home from sea duty, my father would spin stories of his childhood in the South. Sometimes he'd recite scenes from “Gone With the Wind,” changing his voice to fit each character. Okay, that may have been a little over the top. Does an eight-year-old really need to go to sleep with Scarlett's “As God is my witness”…

Life is not a box of chocolate, usually in a box of chocolate we are expecting a variety of taste, flavors and sweetness.
I don't usually receive what I expect. So these days I am expecting everything from anyone at any time..I added my e-books and covers to my introductory blog..for more substance and readers.
I have been online for years, new at self-publishing, doing everything myself and hoping someone (a traditional publisher will at least glance my way). My writing is…

I was lounging on a couch on the outside deck of the Starbucks in Tucker, Georgia enjoying a tall “Flat White” coffee drink. It was creamy and good…very good! The sun was hot, and yet a crisp cool breeze washed over the deck and kept me alert as I was reading J.D. Sallinger’s The Catcher in the Rye. The traffic on Highway 29 didn’t distract me as I was involved in…

So, this morning I pick up this week's featured author and since she shrugged her shoulders on an interview site, i decided to hit an all night coffee bar in Des Moines. Of course, I don't drink coffee, but they have a wonderful selection of teas. We're ensconced in a back room so the jazz quartet out front doesn't disturb us.
Onto the interview...
