Saucer By Stephen Coonts
Over all rating: A surprising fun thrill Ride
Being a fan of sci-fi thrillers, I gave it a try. Not to mention it was given to me. It’s a simple novel called Saucer written by Stephen Coonts. The write up doesn’t explain much. The cover just has a picture of saucer on it, giving the reader no real clue of what their about to read,
So what is it about? It starts off with a archeological team and oil drillers that stumble across something shiny in…

The Lightning Thief By Rick Riordan
Overall Rating: Some call it the next Harry Potter. I think they might be right.
Well it seems like when one thing gets popular, there ad to be a bunch of other authors who like to rip off the material and just write something like to to make money for their selves. Like Twilight, after that book, we have at least fifty teen vampire romances within the next year. Pirates of The Caribbean brought to life a bunch of piracy novels. Then Harry…

Dream catcher By Stephen King
Overall Rating: Dreamcatcher is when this man’s talent shined.
Stephen King is one of the most over rated authors of our time, I have read some of his works like Tommyknockers, Eyes Of The Dragon, Firstater, The Dark Tower Series and they (for me) ranged from mediocre to bad, well for the most part bad that’s something I could write a essay about all on it’s own. Then I picked up the book called Dreamcatcher and I expected the same sort of stuff…

Next By Michael Crichton
Overall Rating: Dull start, but adds up to a terrifying tomorrow
So to all of our knowledge this is the last published book written by Michael Crichton. His last novel was one that was different than all of the rest. With every book he wrote something involving a scifi issue. But this was something that he never attempted before. He wrote about a terrifying future of science if it is not controlled in this book NeXt.
So it’s hard to explain what…

Seeing Redd: Looking Glass Wars
Overall Rating: Surely didn’t live up to the originals like I hoped it would.
Okay new and unusual fantasies are hard to come by. There was the Golden Compass in 1995. There was Harry Potter around 2000. And this is the new competitor. In 2007 a book came out called the Looking Glass Wars and this is it’s follow up.
Part 2 is called Seeing Redd referring to the return of Redd Heart who was thrown into the heart crystal at the end of part…

Bloody Bones- A oddball in the Anita Blake series
Okay if you don’t know what the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series is, then your one of these three. 1) You have been living under a rock. 2) Completely naive about it because you’re a new reader to new age realm. Of 3) Your one of those guys who never read. I hope I didn’t offend anyone here, I am a fan of Anita Blake and this is the review of the Laurell K. Hamilton’s Bloody Bones.
The Anita Blake Vampire Hunter books are a…

Elixer by Davis Bunn
Overall rating: Is it over yet?
This book is just one of those books that you grab off of the discount shelf at a store. You read the back and words like “A reluctant man must uncover a conspiracy of pharmaceutical company before they kill him.’ It has the image of test tube on the cover and image of man on the run. So why not? I like a espionage novel every once and I’ll give it a try.
The story is about this man named Taylor. He’s in one of the…

Warrior Angel By Liz and Margarette Weis
Rating : A great modern fairy tale, that’s easy to get into.
Okay we all see these books all the time in the stores. They are romance novels that have a tint of supernatural or fantasy to them. There has been at least a thousand of them in existence ranging from Twilight to Hunter’s Moon to Stardust. As with the ones just mention, they were about love stories between humans, vampires, were wolves and fallen stars. (just in case you…

The Bourne Legacy- Out With The Old, In with The Awesome
Rating: This book was a hell of a lot of fun
Do you remember all those Ludlum novels that were fantastic. The ones that kept you on the edge of your seat and were written intelligently that you weren’t exactly having a brain drain while reading He wrote the Bourne trilogy (that were adapted into movies) and sadly died in 2001. Then some one, this Eric Van Lustador had the gull to buy the rights to Ludlum’s masterpieces…

Stephen King’s The Road Virus Heads North
Overall Rating: Good, quick read, if you like horror
I have pretty stated in my earlier hubs that I’m not that much of a horror fan. But will always give it a shot. This time, it’s The Road Virus Heads North by Stephen King.
The Road Virus Heads North is not truly a novel and is only a short story about fifty pages long. It can be found online and is in his short stored collections, I found it in everything’s Eventual.
The story…

Jumper Girffin’s Story
Rating: Proof that even with a good idea writer can disappoint………………………..
This is a book about a man who can teleport. A society who murders his family when he is only ten years old, He runs from them and it is cat and mouse fame they get involved wit until he decides to fight back. Yet it may sound silly, but also sounds like a fun science fiction. So I gave it a try. Here’s my review on Jumper: Griffin’s Story………………………………………….

The Ruins – A realistic Kind of Horror
WARNING THIS REVIEW DOES CONTAIN A COUPLE SMALL SPOILERS. THEY ARE MARKED OFF RIGHT BEFORE AND AFTER THE SPOILER BY ***spoiler***………………….
Rating: Totally worth the read……………………..
Strait out. I’m not a big horror geek when it comes to novels. Simply because books just don’t scare me and for some reason authors like Stephen King or Dean Koontz often tine s bore me. I just kind of feel silly and when are trying to be creepy and just…

Looking Glass Wars: Alice The Way You Never Seen Her Before……………………………..
Overall book rating: Awesome…………………………………
Okay, any one who has every visited my website, read my blogs, hubs, or just simply asked me about fantasy books, I always go on this rant of how they are all the same. They are all Lord of The Rings knock offs and Harry otter is too over rated, and how the Golden Compass is the only book that offered world we have never seen before. Well I’ll save you that rant.…
