The Snoutsfield Project: A Synopsis
There are two intertwined stories in this book. The first centres on the village of Snoutsfield in Sussex. The village was established at the beginning of the nineteenth century by Sir William Preston, a landowner and entrepreneur who had been exiled by his family and friends in Cornwall because of his sexual activities with the young girls in the village where he lived. On…

It is now December 2014 and Christmas is fast approaching and with it some good British winter weather: a crisp cold feel to the air and sunshine! The 3rd in the Charlie Bristle trilogy has been available for just over a year. As before it is published by the lovely folk at Mirador publishing and is called, 'Put Your Pens Down'. In the next week or so Mirador are also publishing my latest work, 'The Snoutsfield Project' which have various elements including a murder mystery, a romantic story…

It is no easier to promote sales of e-books than it was 4 years ago. Personally I still like to browse bookshops, charity shops, flea markets and libraries for books I want to read and only go to e-books when I know what I want. It seems unbelievable that it is over a year since I started this Blog. There are now 2 books available about my alter ego Charlie Bristle. The second one, 'Line Up Quietly', published last year by www.belvederepublishing.co.uk is the sequel to 'Now Just Listen' published by www.miradorpublishing.co.uk and follows more of Charlie Bristle's outlandish adventures during his marriage to George. A…

My first published book is 'Now Just Listen' published by Mirador in the UK and available as a download for Amazon's Kindle. It's a humorous account (partly fictionalised) of my 3 years at a teacher training college in the 1960s. I had left an all boys grammar school with very little knowledge or understanding of girls and entered a world where the girls outnumbered the boys by at least 4 to 1, maybe more! In 3 years I learnt more than most of my contemporaries did in a lot longer. I also…
