• Introduction:

The aim of this survey is to get a general idea about liquid dosage forms available in nepali market now.

Drugs available in liquid dosage forms are effective in the sense that they skip the usual process of disintegration and dissolution since they are already they are already available in solubilized form and some of the drugs are even released into systemic circulation directly. These can be effective for childrens and aged people. Injections in the form of liquid dosages can be given to those who cant take the drug orally. The problem with liquid dosage forms can be its instability and that it is more prone to microbial growth.

 

 

• Objectives:

The main objectives of the survey are:

i)                   To get knowledge about the types of liquid dosage forms available in the market.

ii)                 To generate an idea about the colourants, flavors and preservatives being used in those dosage forms.

iii)               To be familiar with the Drugs used as equivalents.
