I just renewed my Mensa membership. Yeah, I know...how pretentious! But not really. I've been an
on and off member for a long time, and it's always been fun. Some time
ago, I coordinated the Mensa motorcycle special interest group. That was
particularly interesting.

I've met any number of remarkable people at various meetings, etc. Sure, there are a few - very few - who pose and posture, but most are
just folks, like you and me in every way that counts.

Of course, if I present myself in the wrong way, please let me know! I do have some abilities in self-correction!

Blessings!

I don't think it's pretentious to join. Ask me how I feel about you bragging about it though. ;) Just kidding! Seriously, people who don't like to see others shining a light on their achievements and abilities are the ones that have the problem, I reckon. The only person that can make them feel inadequate is themselves. They have to accept that feeling as a personal truth and until they see that they have the power to disregard that anytime they choose, they will go on suffering from negative emotions like envy and jealousy.

You carry on tooting that trumpet, Alan! :)
