Chapter 1 Panagsama and Its People

The main attraction of Panagsama is its people. They are warm and friendly and always finding a way to make every stranger comfortable and feel at home.



Panagsama is originally known as Basdiot meaning "Little Sand"
It is one of the 13 barrios in the municipality of Moalboal, well-known also as the place called "Divers Paradise".

The village chief whom was, is and will always be loved by the people is a man who has the most beautiful smile. His name is Mauro or Chief Mau. A dedicated father to his children and grandchildren and a loving husband to his wife
