Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers
2ND Earth is the first science fiction novel written by Edward and Eunice Vought. The intent was to create a work that is interesting to the reader yet teaches them about relationships and family values without being preachy. If you are looking for the darker, more violent aspects of science fiction, this book will probably not interest you. The story takes place in a world that was nearly destroyed by war and takes you through the steps that the survivors go through to rebuild their world with the help of two Navy Seals who it appears were brought to this world for this purpose. It shows what can be accomplished when people work together for a common cause.
Best Friends: The Beginning is the first book in a series about a young man and his friends. The stories show how young men and young women can be best friends without having sexual relationships which can complicate, negatively impact and even ruin the lives of our young people. They also show how youth can be involved with their families, communities and with their churches. The families of the friends are as diverse as their children, yet they all have one thing in common, friendship and a respect for each other’s differences.
We believe that our books are especially important in today’s world where instant gratification and physical relationships challenge the sanctity of the family and encourage the moral decay of our society. Our books are written in plain English that teaches family values in a humorous real life setting. Everyone who has read our books has raved about the way it made them laugh out loud in places and made them cry in others. Many of our adult readers have told us that the books brought back fond memories of similar adventures and emotions they had at approximately the same age as our heroes.
In this series there are now three books available. Best Friends: The Beginning, Best Friends 2: First Summer, and Best Friends 3: Sophomore Year. Best Friends 4: will soon be released.
Eunice and I feel that the youth of today are going through many of the same feelings and experiences that the characters in our books are going through. Our books differ from many books for young people today in that they are about real life situations and are not based on science fiction or fantasy. We read and enjoy these genres as well, but feel that there should be room for a little reality also.
If you enjoy westerns you will enjoy My Name is Nuisance. This is a book about finding out who and what we really are regardless of the circumstances that we are born under. It isn’t the trials that we face in our lives that determine what we are. It’s the way we respond to those trials that show what we really are.
All the books written by Ed and Eunice are available online through Amazon and all major booksellers in paperback, E-Book and Kindle versions.
