Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers

Publish America is interested in my faulty book. I got this email today.

I am just shaking for the possibility of having a perfect book and getting paid for it.

No more hard work just writing...

The problem is I have to stay up all night editing my first 3 chapters.

Ho lord, its passover today.

I am so much in debit and I just sold a few books.

A voice was telling me that people want my book and that I will move into another circle of friends. People who have a heart.

There is a fine line between dreams and allusions, I am walking on it.

They are interested but they promised me that if they like it it will be in print withing 7 days.

I am just buzzing.

Just be there for me in the event that they would reject my manuscript but they know about the name of my book. I told them.

Pinch me and turn it good.

I suggest you readthis folder at AbsoluteWrite that has a whole section devoted to them in their Bewares section before doing anything and make up your mind from there.

I should have said how much information there is there in that subforum. I'd start with the guide, Index to the PublishAmerica Sub-Forum

Thanks  scribbler for the warning. I dropped them just as fast. I just cannot afford to spend more money on this book so I am going to continue marketing my book full of errors.

Some people think that it is a great marketing technique as to stand out. So hech, I'll just toughen my skin for those one star reviews. At least there are plenty of them.

OUCH.

I have published 3 books with PA and I wish I had never started with them.  All they do is ask that you spend more and more money with them on every site that they can think of without giveing you anything back ... royalties, etc.  I want to go to another publisher (my 4th book is ready to go to print) but I don't know how to get out from under their 7 year contract. Good luck to you and I hope you do better than I have done with PA.

Thanks Drue Dee Miller for your comment and I am sorry to hear that PA is such a binding bad deal. So many people had been burned. Paid publishing is also tough and very time consuming. Most people do not make their money back but the sky is the limit.

Good luck with your fourth book and hopefully you will get out of their contract soon enough.
