Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers
So happy to announce the completion of my latest work: Girl in the Mermaid Tail, a physiological thriller, fantasy that is written in a style similar to the "Twilight Zone" stories. It has been a collaborative effort to get it all together. My thanks and appreciation go out to Gina Johnson and Robn Hatcher for their Editing skills, Jeff Clark for the beautifully illustrated Page Breaks, and David Morin for the killer Book Cover. They are a singular group of talented people I'm honored to call friends. I am so fortunate. I am so blessed.
A little back story on what inspired me to write this short-story.
In August of 2011, I attended a Mermaid Convention held at the Silverton Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Although the convention in vender terms, was more of a bust then a boom, I was nevertheless impressed by the response of the tail donning Mermaid and Merman enthusiasts that were in attendance at a pool-side awards ceremony. The next day, during the 4 1/2-hour drive home, I formulated my story. Though the original plot changed during the writing process - from a complicated story-line, to a more simplistic style better suited to the short-story form - there still remains elements of that first inspirational experience.
If you would like a free-read, the story is posted in two parts on the critique web-site, YouWriteOn. It will only be available there for a limited time after publication. Publication date is set for August 1, 2013 on Amazon Kindle. All the proceeds from Kindle sales will go to help provide support for Kris Moser; who earlier this year, fell victim to an extremely rare autoimmune disorder: NMDA Receptor Encephalitis.
An in-print copy will be made available during that same month through Blurb.com.
Make your dream a reality.
