Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers
What a way to start the posting week, with a scorcher. Gotta love a story that won’t let you stop reading it and the pages just keep flying. Wait, it’s Monday and we have an awesome week ahead of here at both the blog and the The G-ZONE our blogtalk radio show. Our guest lineup this week includes: Stephen Jay Schwartz today, Leona Bodie, Gayle Lynds, Sylvia Massara, and then on Friday Blake Crouch. Remember if you don’t catch them live, go to the archives and enjoy, they are there 24/7 for you to enjoy. Now off to our novel for today, what lies between the covers:
“Fugitive mob troubleshooter Kevin Markinson thinks New Hampshire is the perfect place to retire with his family ... but his family doesn't want to see him. It turns out that it's not that easy to retire from his profession. Then there's the fact that he is also a fugitive, on the run for a crime he didn't commit. Things go downhill fast as he struggles to balance his home life and his job with his need to keep moving as the law starts to catch up with him.”
Great stuff and an awesome read. The narrative by J.E. Seymour is definitely a unique and interesting viewpoint into the mind of a killer looking at a shot at redemption. A chance to make time up with a family he has not made much time for in the past. The plot twists and turns are fun, engaging and original. I use that word sparingly anymore because the genre that this is in has become a crowded place with plenty of the same noise. This work stands apart from that, in a class of its own. I mentioned the guests that I am having on the blogtalk show earlier not to toot my own horn, but in the hopes that I can either get J.E. Seymour on the show or to do a Q&A on the blog. I would love to find out how it is that the research into the heart, soul and mind of such an incredible character like Kevin Markinson could be done and delivered with such precision and thoughtfulness. That to me is the core of this novel. I don’t hesitate to suggest this read. Enjoy. Here are few places to find J.E. Seymour and the novel:
