Remember when you were little? And the simple things that made you so happy? The playdough and hide and seek...and Sesame Street and Barney? Maybe those things dont make you happy now...but just think about it. I'm not sure what I'm saying...but I'm saying it anyway. I was really...angry a few days ago. I saw a picture of me and my family when I was 4...we were all apple picking and I had on the biggest smile. Think about the little things when you're down. No matter what happened when you were little, There's alwas that one moment who were hapy with the whole world.

When you're a little kid it's not so hard to be happy because life is so uncomplicated and you let go easily of the not so great days. The biggest challenge we face when we get older is being able to hold on to that sense of happiness and not lose it. Life can be as simple as you choose it to be. There are always, always ways to make changes that will make you life more fulfilling and less complicated and the first is to see that's possible then look for them.

That's very wise advice, erika. I think when we are very stressed and upset we have to make the effort to see the good in the day and not dwell on the negatives. I wrote a piece called Live as a Child once that was about those times. I've added it to my blog here so you can read it.
