Terry Bradley took me back to my youth with his book, How Bees Came to Make Chili. I remembered story time when i was in school. How we would sit around right before scheduled "nap time" and listen to Mr. Lewis read to us. How Bees Came to Make Chili reminds of "The Little Engine that Could". I think this book would serve well in schools and provide children a return to innocence.

Yes, this is a wonderful story! Especially for a young one who has had a set back, a handicap, an injury or a loss. Every child at sometime, will experience one of these. All will love the ending.

"How Bees Came to Make Chili" teaches kids that they have talents and abilities that they may not be aware of. Even if struck with a handicap or hardship that prevents them from performing well in one area, they will always develop other, latent talents/skills. How Bees Came To Make Chili is a fantasy tale of how a bee is injured and loses hope until he discovers something that he can do that makes his life worth while. It has a inspiring moral to the story. I would recommend this to my children or to anyone else that likes fairy tales. Five stars in my opinion.
