Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers
WARNING: This is not a kid’s book. Yes, the humor and wit is bent toward adults and this story is just flat out funny. Robert Ford has put together a tongue in cheek barnburner from the synopsis to the last page. He directed me to make a cover that represented a 1950’s old school flav to match his direction. If you have ever seen movies like “Airplane” with Leslie Nielsen, well you could picture him somewhere in here, which is the type of humor Robert Ford has gone after. In my estimation he hits the mark over and over again. I like fun; you know that by now, well, this is a party. My Kindle was smiling while I read this; it is kind of hard not to, or laugh out loud. I don’t suggest drinking any type of fluids while reading this; it may get snorted.
Here is the synopsis on the story:
“Have you been searching for a great, horrifying read? Something that will really scare the pants off you? Something so twisted and vomit-inducing that it was banned from 71 countries?? Robert Ford, the author of The World of Hek series, has NOT written that book, yet. But he HAS written The Curse of the Translucent Monster! (in color).
The Curse is a pure, fun read and filled with hilarious characters and side-splitting situations that will make you giggle and guffaw out loud until someone tells you to shut the hell up!
Set in the quiet, dangerous city of Fort Geri, The Curse tells the tale of how far an invisible monster will go to please its creator while she’s away at a big scientist convention in Paris. The creature goes on a single-minded quest to collect all of the leather products it can find from the citizens of Fort Geri, not caring who gets in the way.
The bodies pile up and it is up to the Fort Geri Police Department to team up with a sadistic mad scientist to put an end to the invisible monster that is terrorizing the city.
Can they stop the monster before it’s too late? Can they find a bar that will serve beer and donuts?? Can they find out why hot dogs and sausage make such stinky farts??? Can they put a stop to all the freaking ??????????s ?????
Download The Curse of the Translucent Monster! (in color) and find out for yourself, if you dare!!! (and if you can afford $2.99)”
