'Rok Stars, Snooker Legends & Artistic Cream @ Coffee Circus'.
I've enjoyed some wonderfully diverse social events over recent weeks. Last Friday, I travelled to Bedworth to the launch dinner of the 'Rok Stars & Snooker Legends' cup on Eurosport, in the company of Cliff Thorburn, Ronnie O'Sullivan and Jimmy White. The night was suffused with some great moments- my special gallery and report are now linked in on PR-Inside:

Review by: Stephanie Lynne Thorburn.
The arrival of Malcolm Bruce, Jasmine Rodgers and Maya Sage to Coffee Circus was synonymous with the first rays of sun this spring. Fresh from the April UK ‘Sons of Cream’ tour, Malcolm Bruce had just concluded a series of tour dates with Kofi Baker. Malcolm opened the set at Coffee Circus, providing a strong musical resonance on acoustic guitar for his daughter Maya Sage. The afternoon proved to be a true ‘family affair’ with Maya exploring her diverse vocal range, beginning on Contralto for Otis Redding’s soulful ‘Sitting on the Dock of the Bay’, supported by a proud Dad Malcolm Bruce and Janet Bruce, placed to the fore of the audience. Maya’s set comprised a diverse selection of personal favourite songs and impromptu material.
Jasmine Rodgers performed a second set of original acoustic rock. Her grassroots music reflected both quality composition and ease of delivery. It was a pleasure to hear the song ‘Seamless’ from her eponymously titled 2010 solo album performed live. Jasmine offered a distinctive blend of touching melodic material, executed with ethereal musical beauty. The notable set highlight was the melancholy ‘Drinking’, a song she has over time also performed with Dad Paul Rodgers and Brother Steve.
The collective musical repertoire of these talented nascent singer-songwriters certainly set a precedent, promising a new generation of consummate musical artistry.
