Samantha Weiler Beyond The Garden Gate

Welcome to the weekend everybody. Today I am popping in two posts on two totally different types of digital short stories. Later on I will drop one in on Humorist Tom Sumner and his series, “All I Wanted Was a Haircut” .  Lets get to Samantha Weiler’s digital short story. She is a Summer Submission Contest Winner with Trestle Press. Personally I enjoyed this story immensely; it has a nice edge to it that I think if you get to download it you will definitely enjoy. Here is the synopsis of the story, what is between the virtual covers:

The cover is all warm and fuzzy and so is Samantha Welier’s writing, but there is a hidden twist, a certain underlying tone to it that you can feel but not really believe until you smacked in the face with it. Fun, cool, engaging, surprising are just a few of the adjectives I would use for this story. Well worth the $.99 for it. I particularly enjoyed the author’s descriptive ability when it came to the garden: the flowers , the plants, the trees; I felt like I could just reach out and touch and smell them if I had closed my eyes. Personally I am looking forward to reading more from this author; hopefully once you read this short story you will the same way.
