Hey, bear with me on this; it is my first Author’s Spotlight. I am trying to add to the posting week with some interesting new content and I came up with this. I have read a digital short story by S.R. Edvalson called “Anne’s Unknown Guardian”.

Here is the Amazon Kindle link for it:  http://www.amazon.com/Annes-Unknown-Guardian-ebook/dp/B004V9GBP4/re...

Here is the synopsis: “Trestle Press award winning author S.R. Edvalson lets us enter the world of her undercover detective police character Andrew Cartright. He is a man that gets the job done any under circumstances and vets out justice as he sees fit. An old school detective, he has an astonishing record of achievement that borders on folk lore and fairy tales, but is all too true. Download this emotional, heartfelt and explosive short story and find out what is so unique and engrossing about this character and what is so amazing about her writing.”

You can read my review there or go through my archives and find it. But no surprise, I enjoyed it very much. It really left me wanting to know more of her main character. I think that is the mark of a good author. Here is a little something the author sent me to add to this piece:

“I'm very interested in politics, and write for a political blog. I am an avid college football fan.  And yes, I do like the BCS bowl system.  However, I do not like the way the teams are chosen to play in the bowls.  I would love to see a play off to the bowls and the National Championship teams come from the bowl wins. My teams are Texas, Boise State, and any team that beats the odds, whether that be Boise, Ball State or Rutgers.  I love watching the big boys tumble to a team made up of determination and heart.  My favorite authors are Jane Austen, and Agatha Christie, although I have recently discovered some short stories by Jeffrey Archer and I am thoroughly enjoying his style.

When writing, I plot the basic outline, but I let the story direct me.  It’s almost like watching a movie in my mind and capturing those images on the page.  I favor cozy mysteries.  Quaint seaside cottages, picturesque mountain retreats and perfectly manicured suburbia are the perfect settings for dastardly deeds, along with the do-gooders who solve the crimes. “

My suggestion is to give her digital short story a read; I think that you will find that I am right about her ability and her characters. She has a very nice narrative and the piece she sent me adds to my understanding of it. Next up on Thursday, author B.R. Stateham.

Things have changed around here. I am now the published author by Trestle Press of “Down Low- Dead” with Vincent Zandri, “The Jersey Shore Has Eyes” with Big Daddy Abel”, “G.S.I Gelati’s Scoop Investigations Psychotic Detectives” with Thomas White, “Who Whacked The Blogger” with Benjamin Sobieck, and the soon to be released  “Thad and The G-Man’s Most Awesome Adventure” with Thad Brown and “Hotel Beaumont” with B.R. Stateham. All the stories are available @ Amazon, Barnes & Nobles and Smashwords. I am also the host of the wildly popular The G-ZONE blogtalk radio show. Thanks for stopping by today; We will see you tomorrow. Have a great day.   http://www.gelatisscoop.blogspot.com
