Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers

I am amazed each and every time I get to read one of the new installments in The Smoking Gun Sisterhood Series. There are ten installments; we have reached number five and man I do not want it to end. Hopefully Thad Brown will see fit to start something new or to expand the universe of strong female characters he has developed. I make no bones about my love for this man’s writing; he is just sensational. As a side note: I have had the privilege of collaborating with Thad Brown on a Trestle Press/The Author’s Lab/Collaboration called “Thad and The G-Man’s Most Excellent Adventure”. It will be released in the next two weeks; the next release is “Who Whacked the Blogger” with Benjamin Sobieck and myself. In my collaboration with Thad Brown, he just puts his SGS stamp all over it and I was in awe the entire time, just marveling at his gifted ability. Anyway, back to The Capta and The Cop Part II, what is between the virtual covers:

“This is a prequel to the wildly successful The Capta and the Cop. The story is touching, full of action and that good ole Thad Brown flair. The digital short story is a quick moving tale and dares to explore what could happen if a mob boss falls in love with a cop. Can they live in harmony and matrimony? Download this next installment and find out.

Here’s a little bit about the author:

Call me Thad Brown. My real name is classified, to protect the guilty –I mean the innocent!

After being born at an early age, I made it through the K-12 educational system (though I didn’t like it). From there, I went on to pick up a graduate degree or two, travel a bit in the U.S. and other countries, and become a writer, among other occupations (all of them legal –cross my heart!). For the background of this book, though, one of the most important things about me is that I’ve been a lifelong admirer of strong, brave heroines who face life without flinching, and especially of kick butt heroines: ladies who can swing a sword, handle a gun, or throw a punch; who can go toe-to-toe with a villain, look him (or her) right in the eye, and dish out justice. Growing up, I was a big fan of the ladies of Charlie’s Angels and The Avengers (and before that of the comic-book adventures of Supergirl); and over the years I discovered other heroines in this mold, onscreen and in print. It’s my great privilege to be married to the world’s most beautiful and sexy woman, who leaps tall buildings with a single bound, catches bullets with her teeth, outruns speeding locomotives, and takes down a bad guy or two every day. (All right, she doesn’t really do any of that stuff –but in my estimation, she could!) Some of her qualities went into each one of the heroines of the stories in the SGS collection, if it’s only her good heart and fighting spirit; in its way, the book is my homage to her, and to all the real-life heroines out there, noticed or unnoticed. So stand tall, girls; us guys salute you!”

Thad Brown has a distinct and powerful writing style which I thoroughly enjoy. His plotlines are tight, the prequel was just right, and the characters are constructed with enough care and thought that make them very real and not cartoonish. The combination of all this and the added heart and soul that Brown throws in make these reads something to savor and enjoy. My ereader seems to smile when I download them. The prequel surprised me, but it fit, and Thad Brown made it work. I had honestly hoped we would have gotten more of these characters anyway; it was as if he had read my mind. Here are the other titles in the series in order that have been published by Trestle Press and Thad Brown thus far in the series:

1.       Biker Angel

2.       Cops and Robbers

3.       The Falcon of Bitmesh

4.       The Capta and The Cop

5.        The Capta and The Cop Part II

To make things a bit easier for you ,here is the Amazon Kindle page where you can view all of them:

I suggest the whole bunch, but if you don’t believe a word I have just written, download one of the 5 and then sit back and enjoy, I think you will find the others are just as good, just well written, and have just the right amount of fun to put a smile on your face.

Things have changed around here. I am now the published author of “Down Low- Dead” with Vincent Zandri, “The Jersey Shore Has Eyes” with Big Daddy Abel”, “G.S.I Gelati’s Scoop Investigations Psychotic Detectives” with Thomas White, and the soon to be released “Who Whacked The Blogger” with Benjamin Sobieck, “Thad and The G-Man’s Most Awesome Adventure” with Thad Brown and “Hotel Beaumont” with B.R. Stateham. All the stories are available @ Amazon, Barnes & Nobles and Smashwords. I am also the host of the wildly popular The G-ZONE blogtalk radio show. Thanks for stopping by today; We will see you tomorrow. Have a great day.   http://www.gelatisscoop.blogspot.com.
