“The Verbatim Code” Scavenger Hunt Is On!
The Challenge:
My website has 18 pages, and 10 editorial errors have been hidden on the pages. These are errors in spelling, grammar, or punctuation. Go to verbatimeditorial.com.
Your Quest:
Find all 10 errors and email them to VerbEdit1@aol.com. When 5 people have submitted correct answers (all 10 answers must be correct), one person will be picked at random to win one of the following.
The Prize:
- Free edit of 50 pages of your manuscript or document
- Edit of your complete manuscript or document (up to 70K words) at 50% off the regular price
Treasure Hunt Rules
The Scavenger Hunt begins July 8 and ends July 15. If on July 15 fewer than 5 entries have been received, one will be chosen at random as the winner.
Determination of submitted responses as correct or incorrect is at the sole discretion of Verbatim Editorial.
Editing Scope Submitted documents must be formatted in Microsoft Word.
Submitted book manuscripts may be fiction or nonfiction.
Word count of a submitted document is determined by the Microsoft Word count feature and upon receipt.
The editing service will include grammar, punctuation, and spelling as well as recommendations for consistent usage, style, tone, and general organization.
Marketing
If the winner is a book author, she or he will be mentioned as “The Verbatim Code Scavenger Hunt Winner” on Google+, Facebook, and Twitter.
The game is afoot! Good luck!
