The Search for Reasons
The first 9/11
The Search for Reasons is a novel based on the actual crash of a World War II, B-25 Bomber that flew into the Empire State Building in 1945. It is an adult mystery/thriller that includes a little touch of romance and comedy.
Kyle is a Special Ops Army Veteran working on Wall Street who secretly dates his boss’s secretary, and coincidently stumbles on a 65 year old mystery that he is forced to solve. He learns during his cross country investigation that his grandmother didn’t die on one of the elevators in 1945, but actually was kidnapped. Later he is forced to travel across the country again, and then to Puerto Rico in search of a cure for his mutating long time army friend (Joe) who was bitten by a blood sucking canine sized animal that lives and breeds in the sewer tunnels of New York City. After being captured by the FBI, he is forced into joining a team of newly assigned agents, and task to find and retrieve one of the animals that may have a cure for his friend. In return, the FBI helps him in his search for his grandmother they believe was taken to a Japanese Internment camp in the late forties. Kyle then continues his search by coincidently receiving a clue from his grandmother’s friend (Josephine) that eventually leads him to his adulterous grandmother’s old lover (John Rosberg) who lives secluded near the Chihuahuan desert of New Mexico.
