Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers
I have gotten to know Thomas White over a period of time; he is a really nice guy with a very sharp wit. If you read any of his writing, you come to realize that very quickly. He has been nice also to give me some pointers on the craft of writing as I have worked with him on “G.S.I. Gelati Scoop Investigations Psychotic Detectives”. His words were pointed but I expected no less; he meant well and they weren’t malicious, just trying to speak the truth, and set a beginner straight. Trust me, it is advice I cherish and take to heart; he was nice enough to take the time and break it down for me. I have also has the good fortune of interviewing him a few times on my blogtalk show The G-ZONE; I will be doing so again Thursday June 9th @ 1pm EST. Please tune in and you will get to hear him crack a few good jokes, of this I have no doubt.
Thomas White is the author of ‘Justice Rules”, and the fore mentioned collaboration with me. His writing is filled with incredible prose, hard- boiled action and intense imagery. Through it all though you can get the sense that there is plenty of heart and soul behind it. White is just not trying to put up a bloody body count, just using what he has to make his point and drive it home. I strongly suggest you give both or either a try. “Justice Rules” is very heavily rated, he has 31 five star reviews and 7 four star reviews, nothing lower. That is impressive!
Here is a little something on Thomas White:
“Tom began his career as an actor, which lead to a two-year stint in Tucson, Arizona at the University of Arizona and a degree from the United States International University School of Performing arts in San Diego. A C** Laude graduate, Tom was also named to "Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities.”
He immediately hit the road and spent several seasons touring across the country with various shows, working as an actor, tech director, stage manager, scenic designer, lighting designer, sound designer and finally a director.
Several years later Tom found himself as an Artistic Director for a theatre in Los Angeles and the winner of several Drama-Logue and Critics’ awards for directing.
While working in Los Angeles, making a living in live theatre, Tom started a small side business offering voice over talent to the television and film industry. Consequently, he can be heard, although never seen, almost nightly on one of the major networks.
As Tom's career grew he ended up doing bigger and bigger projects in the theatre world. In 1990 he directed and co-produced the world tour of "The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Coming Out Of Our Shells". The show toured for over two years, was translated into seven different languages and seen by close to a million children. Tom directed two videos based on the show and found another venue to stretch his creative bent.
Consequently, Tom opened a video production house and currently directs, writes and produces corporate videos. In addition, he specializes in directing live corporate events. In the last few years Tom has worked several major events such as the Harley Davidson 95th Anniversary, the IBM Golden Circle and the Microsoft Annual Sales meeting. He also served as the creative director/producer for the Saturn Homecoming held on 200 acres in front of the Saturn main plant in Spring Hill, Tenn.
In addition to his passion for writing, Tom is working on an original musical. He wrote the script and will direct the show. Freddy Curci, an award winning musician famous for his two number one hits, "More Than Words Can Say" and "When I'm With You" is writing the music and his wife, Lara Cody is writing the lyrics.
Tom splits time between Los Angeles and Spokane, WA where he lives with his wonderful wife, Kathleen, a neurosurgical nurse practitioner and his two daughters, Claire, a junior at University of Redlands and Kaelan, a senior in high school.
Tom is a life long San Diego Charger fan.
