Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers
People tell me at times I appear to be busy. That might just be perception, but to set the record straight and not toot my own horn here I will give you a rundown of what I really have going on here so there is no confusion and I have all the cards on the table. Here goes:
One thing I am really proud to be a part of is what is happening for Laurie Bowler right now. She is part of a contest on Goodreads that is trying to pick the best YA novels of 2011. She has eight of her titles nominated and I have been fortunate to have done the cover art on a number of them, including the Kindle version of Serena Embracing Darkness and the Across the City digital short stories. When I wrote this post she had 4 of the top five and all eight in the top twenty. Trestle Press and I couldn’t be happier or more proud to be a part of this with her. If you are looking for someone to do your cover art, please feel free to drop me a line, after all I have a wife, eight kids, and a couple grandkids, I could use the work, hahaha. Speaking of that, if you would like to support my endeavors, please do all of your Amazon Shopping through my blogsite, Gelati’s Scoop, http://www.gelatisscoop.blogspot.com. You can order anything, not just books; the prices are the same as if you shop on Amazon directly. Your support with this helps me greatly and I sincerely appreciate it.
The Author’s Lab/Collaboration’s series: I have finished two to date , the first with Vincent Zandri, ”Down Low-Dead”, which has gotten 16 five star reviews and “The Jersey Shore Has Eyes” with Open Mic author Big Daddy Abel. That has gotten 14 five star reviews thus far. I am currently scheduled to work with over 14 different authors in various genres, doing my best to take them out of their game and shake them up a bit to help fuel their creative fires. I think so far I have been able to do just that. The next digital short stories coming out will be:
“G.S.I. /Gelati Scoop Investigations Psychotic Detectives” with Thomas White author of “Justice Rules”.
“Who Whacked the Blogger” with Benjamin Sobieck author of “Cleansing Eden”.
“Thad and The G-Man’s Most Awesome Adventure” with Thad Brown author of “The Smoking Gun Sisterhood Series”
“Bring Us Your Living…Now!” with H.R. Toye author of “The Debtor’s Chip Series”
“Hotel Beaumont” with B.R. Stateham author of “Call Me Smitty”, “Death of a Young Lieutenant” and the soon to be released “Roland of the High Crag”.
Pretty soon I will be working with: Leonardo Ramirez, Cody Toye, and Laurie Bowler. If you are an author and want to have some fun, get in touch with me, let’s party, and create something unique and interesting.
The G-ZONE: I am fortunate to be able to have nice friends to have on the show. Tomorrow, Weds., I will be hosting a new monthly feature, the Author’s Panel. Paul Levinson, CJ West, Vincent Zandri, Big Daddy Abel and B.R. Stateham will be on the 1st panel discussing an element of writing. June will feature fiction authors again, then in July we will be hosting what is turning into a Romance author fest. The response to this was so large and my inability to say no has led to me having an embarrassing, amazingly large group of talented and gifted authors at the shows disposal. To that end I will be making at least three panels and each will tackle a different element of Romance writing; it should be fun and informational. Look for that July 20th. August’s panel will be composed of Graphic Novelists.
Last but not least, Trestle Press has its Summer Submission Contest still going in full swing and the entries are just amazing thus far. Please contact them at trestlepress@gmail.com to make your submission. Have fun and good luck.
Things have changed around here. I am now the published author of “Down Low- Dead” with Vincent Zandri, “The Jersey Shore Has Eyes” with Big Daddy Abel and the soon to be released “Who Whacked the Blogger” with Benjamin Sobieck, “G.S.I Gelati’s Scoop Investigations Psychotic Detectives” with Thomas White, “Thad and The G-Man’s Most Awesome Adventure” with Thad Brown and “Hotel Beamont” with B.R. Stateham. All the stories are available @ Amazon, Barnes & Nobles and Smashwords. I am also the host of the wildly popular The G-ZONE blogtalk radio show. Thanks for stopping by today; We will see you tomorrow. Have a great day. http://www.gelatisscoop.blogspot.com
