Perhaps a keyless society: the house opens up as soon as it sees your face. maybe even lets a burgular in but then hits a delete key somewhere with chilling results. The house might even bring out a canopy to cover the barbecue areas in case it rans. And will the house do all the chores? Interesting.

Cleveland all that tech exist today.  I've been a Union electrcian for 27 years. If you look up "smarthome" or "Hal 2000" you can see that they are JUST starting to apply the tech.  One of my "Dick Tracy wrist watch", something invented in a story first, is a paint that picks up laser light.  I can't tell you the details because I haven't invented them yet.  But in my short story "A Program Thicker Than Water" the walls are like TVs and the flowers on the table bloom when you walk by because its actually a video on the wall.  When you knock on the front door a butler appears.  Now that voice interface has improved the last couple of years there is no reason why you can't walk around your house talking to your computer.
