Wasted?:
You’re not
A waste of space
Just a smile never seen
Your laugh never heard
You hide yourself in a fountain of pain
Every day is always pain
Never feel wasted
Always be true
You’re not a waste
You’re a persons
Whole world and a part of my life

Short, nice, and so true! Self inflicted pain is as much or more so to those who love you dearly. There are no wasted lives in life as each life has a ripple effect on so many others around it.
Dear Carly
I think you've captured some excellent sentiments(your poem) on a subject that is not only deep but afflicks a number of young people. A poem can explain much in a few words. So well done for that. Now to carry that message on to others you've used the vehicle of poetry. I've used poetry for a number of reasons in the past: litter; drugs; assault; the death of a clown; thoughts of an old soldier; sea rescue and the associated disaster. My latest effort represents an anthology of war poems for the charity Combat Stress. I am proud to be included in 'Enduring Freedom.' ISBN 9781908487018
My question is what will you do with your poem? It ought to be published.
Best wishes

Hi Carly
The subject of your poem is not only sensitive but needs proper handling. To publish as it stands need,IMO, more content and a very strong theme all the way through that will interest the reader, no matter how serious the topic. FYEO is my consideration. Please request being a friend then we can exchange text and info if you feel you'd like me to help.

I like this poem. I like to think of myself as a true poet to society. Sometimes by reading someone else's poem I am able to create. Her's one for your friends.
I am here and you are there, hold onto today,
we may be worlds apart but my heart is open
My ears are open to your pain and suffering
Hold onto the here and now
I have seen the world at war
hav e watch a full grown man cry
have seen myself hit drugs only to fall on my face
but today I am writing to you.
Hold it up and keep your head up!
Go ahead and cry if it helps..I do.
I am here.
No one is ever alone..your friend is here also.
