Aaron- Honestly, I think bad language would add realism to an urban setting. Without it, it may seem forced. Can you set it up where the character looks badly if and when he/she curses?

Hello,
I'm new here. I write children's books and look forward to hearing from others who write for children. Do I need to invite members of this group individually to be friends or can I invite all members of the group now?
Please visit me at https://twitter.com/#!/jhelenelza

Hi Pat, welcome to the group.
You can select friends at any time you want to.
Keep writing and have FUN!
Sean
