I just got a couple of my poems published! and it was from checking out a discussion someone had posted on here for a place looking for submissions, so, guys, I don't know how many of you check these things out, but if you don't already, then you should! :) I'm not getting any money out of it, because I think it's all going to the troops, but at least my name'll be out there more than it was before.

Nice poem. The seventh line down, perhaps say (We are all mere pieces) Lines 11 and 12 seem to say the same thing.

 

Do worry about how many poems you write but rather how good they are and this piece is great. Very touching.

Life bends

Twist and winds

Sings itself to sleep

Who’s in charge?

Of life’s simple turns

It’s all a plan left in God’s hands

We are all mere pieces

In this game of life

But if the trail

That we must follow

Holds its place in time

We must remember

That life always

Bends,twist, and winds

Nice!!! I'd write it on paper. Make a hard copy. Or at least write it on your computer in Word. Don't let it get deleted.

Hi Keith,

We writers get that from time to time...pop up thoughts. Your piece is nice and warming. We have that in common..the loss of our dear fathers and the yearning to want it back. Hold your head up a little higher and smile slightly..they know, our fathers.

wow, seriously? I wasn't trying to self promote. It took me 4 1/2 years to get my own book published, so I feel for the un-published author, which is the reason that I want to do spotlights. I swear, only in America do people think that someone can't just help because they want to and it makes them feel good to do it.

I'll delete them and this acct. I just feel bad for the people who wanted to be. If you already contacted me about a guest spot, no worries ur on anyway.
