Does anyone have any advice on promoting your book even with an publisher like book signings and if its good to promote on facebook and twitter?

thanks im ok with ppl not liking twilight but i love it i just dont like ppl bad mouthing them if you dont like it thats fine but plz dont bad mouth it.
